#1 thing not to do -Frames: Frames is a way of splitting up the sections of your page into different files. Unfortunately, search engines don't like that. Any designer that doesn't work with the actual code regularly, won't know the difference.
#2 thing not to do is create your site as one large picture.: Text(content) is essentially Search Engine food, without it, there is nothing for them to eat. There are many designers that want their site to look "Cool" or want to WOW the client and try to make the home page all an image, while it looks good it hinders your sites ability to be found in any search engine. There are many ways to have the artistic style and impression in a site and not sacrifice it ability to be found, of course if that designer knows what to do....
#3 Choosing a company who Promise #1 ranking and want monthly commissions: It is impossible to promise anything you don't have 100% control over. I promise to work hard for you to get you a site that can be indexed and found by search engines. But, it's not GUARANTEED. I can design a site with all the correct steps to ensure you the best possible results, but search engines have millions of sites to read, it takes time. As you invest your time into your site your rankings will eventually increase, that I can say for certain. There are ways to "jump start" your "findability" and we can discuss that further at the correct time.

I have often come across people who have been taken advantage of by either some novice web developer o didn't know what they were doing, and had no idea about the concept of customer service, or the sales "professional" who will tell potential clients anything they want to hear just to get the sale.

You will have input in the design process.

You have input in your design What type of web site are you looking for? Will it be entertaining,informative, or a sales site? I get your input on the color scheme of your site, the style of site you are looking for, what pages you may need, how you want your users to navigate your site, and more. Once we have decided on the basic structure and style of the site, I then create a number of designs that incorporate the information. You will then be able to view these mock-ups, choose the one that best fits what you want for your business and alter the chosen style, if necessary, to finalize a look and feel you are happy with.

Once the look and feel of the site is determined, we will then move into the build or production stage where I focus on the page content for your site. This is where you will provide me with, if you haven't already, the information for each section or page. I then create your web site in a test environment so you will see how the completed site will look and make additions or deletions as necessary. I will provide you with input as to what information may be useful or conversely unnecessary.

I want you to be happy with your final product so I include you in the process. I offer my professional opinion on what you may need or how you might consider displaying your information to better inform your existing and have seen many things that do not work on the web,and I try to keep you informed as to what they may be.
